Yakushima Island

Fitness & News Editorial

In 2013 I travelled to the remote southern Island of Yakushima in Kagoshima, Japan. The isalnd is a UNESCO world heritage site with a unique temperate forest with the world’s oldest tree, and various species of plants and moss. The island is surrounded by tropical waters and it is said to rain 35 days a month. I photographed these images on my 5x4 film camera.
